This beautiful city situated on the banks of Gomati, which is the largest river in Tripura flows through the middle of the town. Udaipur has many historical sites and pilgrimage places. Tripura Sundari Temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, which is a revered site for the Hindus.

Udaipur has its historical importance, it was the former capital of the Manikya dynasty kings. The ruins of the old palace and many historical sites bear witness to this.

    Tripura Sundari is a manifestation of Parvati, similar as Durga or Kali. As per the Hindu mythology Lord Vishnu dissembled Lady Sati’s human body, her right foot fill in this spot. The temple has constructed 500 years ago, in the early 15th Century by Maharaj Dhanya Manikya Devji. During Diwali festival many people gathered here.
