Montreux is well connected with regular trains from Interlaken, Geneva and Laussane. It takes around half an hour to reach Montreux from Laussane.

Chillon Castle

Chillon Castle is located on a rock on the banks of Lake Geneva. The water castle is the most visited historic building in Switzerland. More than 300,000 guests visit Chillon per year. The entire complex consists of 25 buildings and three courtyards, protected by two circular walls. It’s accessible by car, train, or boat, and a visit to the castle is must when you are at Montreux.

Rochers de Naye

The Rochers-de-Naye offers a breath-taking view of Lake Geneva and the Alps. It is accessible from Montreux, where the highest railway in the canton. The line connects the resort of Montreux, on the shores of Lake Geneva, with the summit of the Rochers de Naye mountain.

Swiss Chocolate Train

This train is offered as a one-day, round trip excursion. The trip begins in Montreux on the Swiss Riviera and then takes you by train to Gruyères, home to the renowned Gruyères cheese. GoldenPass Line

The Golden Pass is a train route that starts in Lucerne. Along the way to Montreux you will see the Brunig Pass, the lakes of the Bernese Oberland, the Simmen valley, upper class Gstaad and Lake Geneva. The train makes an electrifying descent towards Montreux, passing through vineyards and country estates to finally arrive at shimmering Lake Geneva.

Glacier 3000

The glacier offers an amazing view of over 24 peaks with a height of over 4000 m. Winter season, i.e., from October to May in the only glacier ski time in the Bernese Oberland. It offers a large variety of activities for its guests like winter hiking trails, cross-country skiing, snow park, viewpoints, dog sledge rides and the highest bobsleigh track in the world - the Alpine Coaster.
