Zurich Railway Station is the largest and the busiest station in Switzerland and is an important railway hub in Europe. Local trains operate between Zurich and other major cities of Europe.

Rhine Falls

This is Europe's largest waterfall which was forced into a new riverbed over 15,000 years ago. Over a breadth of 150 meters, several hundred cubic meters of water rush into the depths at the rate of 23 meters per second. By ship one can reach the Rhine Falls Basin and even the mighty rock in the midst of the waterfall.

Lake Zurich

Lake Zurich is framed on the southern side by the Albis and Zimmerberg hills and on the north by the Pfannenstiel chain of hills. The lake is bordered by the cantons of Zurich, St. Gallen and Schwyz. The waters of the Lake of Zurich flow out of the lake at its north-west end, passing through the city.

Old Town Streets

Zurich Old Town is a cultural, social and historical melting pot. Sights in the eastern section of Zurich's Old Town includes the Town Hall, the Wasserkirche, the Grossmünster, the Art Gallery and the University. Sights in the western section of Zurich's Old Town includes the Lindenhof, St Peter's Church, Münsterhof square, the Fraumünster Church and the Weinplatz.

Bahnhofstrasse

Bahnhofstrasse is Zurich's main downtown street and one of the world's most expensive and exclusive shopping avenues. It is the most expensive street for retail property in Europe, and the third most expensive worldwide. The main shopping zone is concentrated in the city centre, which makes it ideal for pedestrians.

Confiserie Sprungli

Confiserie Sprungli is a Swiss luxury confectioner and is internationally known for its signature macarons called Luxemburgerli. The pralines and truffles made from delicate Swiss chocolate and the light and airy Luxemburgerli send people all over the world into raptures. It produces a range of 2,000 products, including ice cream and bakery goods.

Platzspitz park

The Platzspitz park is a park in Zurich, located next to the Swiss National Museum. The Park is one of the oldest and most historic areas of greenery in Zurich. On one side of this triangular park is the Swiss National Museum, right next to the Main Railway Station.

Heidiland Tour

The Freitag brothers produce over 1,20,000 bags and accessories every year from recycled materials taken from the streets. Used and exhaust stained truck tarpaulins, the inner tubes of bicycle tires, old safety belts and air-bags etc. are recycled to manufacture bags.

Bahnhofstrasse

The Bahnhofstrasse leads from the main railway station to the lake and is mostly a pedestrian area almost without traffic. Its famous for its luxury stores, jewelleries, watches and designer boutiques.
