Enjoy this tour of Cairo, the triumphant city, the capital of Egypt, considered to be the cradle of civilization and beacon of religion. This is the largest city in the Middle East and Africa. Cairo lies at the centre of all routes leading to and from the three continents: Asia, Africa and Europe. You will visit the most famous Egypt Museum where you will be able to see the finest collection of Egyptian antiquities in the world dating back from the Old Kingdom, the Middle Kingdom and subsequent dynasties as well as the renowned treasures of King Tut Angh Amun. You will also visit the Khan El Khalili Bazaar, the oldest shopping area in Cairo with Islamic designs that reflect the Islamic civilization. At the end of the tour you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Pyramids & Sphinx at Giza (Duration – 4 Hrs)

After hotel pick up in a minibus together with your guide, you will be taken to the Pyramids located on the west bank of the Nile near Cairo. The Egyptian Pyramids (entrance fee not included) are the oldest and only surviving member of the Ancient Wonders. Out of the 10 pyramids at Giza, the 3 largest and best preserved were built at the beginning of the Old Kingdom. The most well-known pyramid, 'The Great Pyramid', was built by Pharaoh Khufu in about 2600 B.C. It is 479 ft high and was built from over two million blocks of stone. Next you will visit the famous Sphinx which, carved from the bedrock of the Giza plateau, demonstrates a mysterious marvel from the days of ancient Egypt. With the body of a lion and the head of a king or god, the Sphinx has become a symbol of strength and wisdom. You will then be transferred back to your hotel where the tour ends.

The show begins with the story of The Sphinx who has been the vigilant guardian of the city of the dead for five thousand years. The show depicts the story of building the pyramids of Keops, Kephren, Mykerinos and relates the history of great and famous figures of ancient Egypt.

Nile Dinner Cruise

After being picked up at the hotel, you will be transported in a minibus to the pier where you will board the boat. Spend an enjoyable 2 hours having dinner, being entertained by Egyptian belly dancers and singers and experiencing this typical Egyptian atmosphere.

Full Day Excursion to Alexandria

After your hotel pick up you will be driven to Alexandria where you will visit the National Museum, its construction work started in 1926 and was officially inaugurated by the President of Egypt on 31st December 2003. The National Museum, which was formerly a palace, now covers a total of 3,480 square meters and is built in the style of an Italian mansion with four spacious floors. It is surrounded by a beautiful garden full of shady trees and flowering plants. The are currently around 1800 artefacts, showcasing of a rich history of Alexandria with links to the Pharaonic, Roman, Coptic and Islamic ages. Follow with a visit to the Catacombs, Alexandria Serapeum and finally see Pompei's Pillar, a column raised in 300 A.D. in honour of Emperor Diocletian, who saved the city of Alexandria from a frightful famine. On the western side of the column you will see the engravings "To the just Emperor, the God of Alexandria, the invincible Diocletian". The tour ends with a transfer back to your hotel in Cairo.

Cairo’s Khan El – Khalili and Souks are some popular areas. Look out for traditional jewelry. Wraps and scarves in camel and sheep wool make lovely gifts and are extremely warm. Egyptian cotton are lways a good buy. Having shoes made here is also a good idea, with high levels of workmanship and excellent quality of leather. There is a weekly market at this seaside town every Wednesday.
