Beijing can be reached conveniently from major cities of India by air, though there is just one airline that connects directly to Beijing that is Air china. Some of the other airlines that connect to Beijing are Thai airways, Malaysian airlines, Emirates, Qatar airways etc.

Forbidden City

Forbidden City is China’s largest and best-preserved collection of ancient buildings, and the largest palace complex in the world. It was first built during the reign of emperor Chengzu of the Ming dynasty. Guarded by a 170-foot wide moat and 30-foot high walls, the 183-acre site is a vast complex of buildings, halls, pavilions, and marble courtyards.

Beijing National Stadium

It was designed as the main stadium of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. The Olympic events of track and field, football, gavelock, weight throw and discus were held there. After the Olympics, this stadium has been opened as a tourist attraction. The shape of the stadium looks like a big nest which embraces and nurses human beings. The designers didn't do anything extra to give it a bird’s nest look; they just exposed the steel structures entirely and let them become the most natural appearance.

Great Wall of China

The Great Wall, one of the greatest wonders of the world, was listed as a World Heritage by UNESCO in 1987. The Great Wall winds up and down across deserts, grasslands, mountains and plateaus, stretching approximately 8,851.8 kilometres from east to west of China. It begins in the Hebei province to the east and ends at Gansu province to the west. Its main body consists of walls, horse tracks, watch towers and shelters on the wall, and includes fortresses that pass along the wall. The Great Wall reflects collision and exchanges between agricultural civilizations and nomadic civilizations in ancient china.

Tiananmen Square

Tiananmen Square is located at the centre of Beijing City, where you can visit Tiananmen tower, Monument to the People's Heroes, Great Hall of the People, Mao Zedong Memorial Hall and see the national flag raising ceremony. Thousands of people come to the Square every day. It is a must visit place in Beijing City.

Summer palace

Summer palace is situated in the Haidian district, 15 kilometres from central Beijing. Being the largest and most well-preserved royal park in China, it greatly influences Chinese horticulture and landscape with its famous natural views and cultural interests. The Summer Palace radiates the natural beauty and the grandeur of royal gardens. It was a luxurious royal garden for royal families to rest and entertain but now, it became the main residence of royal members at the end of the Qing Dynasty.

HongQiao Pearl Market
