Regular trains operate from Venice, Zurich, Munich, Graz, Vienna and many other destinations. The main station, Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof, is located at Sudtiroler Platz, in the east of the city centre.
The Stubai Glacier is the largest ski area in the Innsbruck area. It is also one of the most popular all-year ski destinations in Europe. The area has 70 km of varied ski slopes and 29 km of challenging ski tracks in an altitude ranging from 1,750 m and 3,210 m above sea level.

The Swarovski Crystal Worlds, created by Andre Heller, is a pure invitation to dream. Only a 20 minutes drive away from Innsbruck this sparkling fantasy world is definitely worth a visit. A crystal wall eleven meters high, with twelve tons of glittering semi-precious stones shimmering behind it, shields you from the dreariness of everyday life.
This palace was erected by Archduke Siegmund the Rich in late Gothic style around 1460. It was rebuilt in the Baroque style (but with rococo detailing) between 1754 and 1773 on orders of Empress Maria Theresa. The Palace, flanked by a set of domed towers, is a fine example of Baroque secular architecture. The structure has four wings and a splendid two-storey Riesensaal, painted in white and gold and filled with portraits of the Habsburgs.
The Golden Roof is a landmark structure located in the Old Town section of Innsbruck, Austria. It is considered the city's most famous symbol. Completed in 1500, the roof was decorated with 2,738 fire-gilded copper tiles for Emperor Maximilian I to mark his wedding to Bianca Maria Sforza. The Emperor and his wife used the balcony to observe festivals, tournaments, and other events that took place in the square below.
