Vienna International Airport is located just outside the city limits of Vienna, and a few miles southeast of the suburb of Schwechat. The airport is the home base of the flag-carrier Austrian Airlines, as well as budget airline Niki. Emirates, Lufthansa, Qatar Airways etc. operates flights from India to Vienna with stop overs.

Schonbrunn Palace

Schonbrunn Palace is a World Cultural Heritage site and Austria's most-visited sight. The baroque total work of art consisting of palace and gardens was for centuries the property of the Habsburgs and is today largely in its original condition. Visitors will find numerous attractions here, from a tour through the authentically furnished residential and ceremonial rooms of the Imperial Family in the palace, to the maze and the labyrinth in the gardens and a separate Children's Museum.

Ringstrasse

The Ring Road is a circular road in Vienna and is one of its main sights. The 5.3-kilometer-long Ringstrasse was built in over 50 years, and it remains unparalleled. Ringstrasse girds the city centre like a charm bracelet. It lines up more than 20 great sightseeing spots and is the perfect starting point for first time visitors. You can take a fantastic tram ride around it and enjoy the beautiful city.

The Burgtheater is one of the most famous and most traditional German-language theatres, and many of the productions are inspiring, fun, and impressive. It is also one of many impressive and historic buildings that line the famous Ringstrasse. Walking into the empty auditorium and seeing the set for a play being built on the stage is like seeing the innards of somebody’s brain; watching the ideas and thoughts in production before they hit oxygen.

Favoritenstrasse

Located in Vienna’s 10th district, near the Sudtiroler Platz, it is the Favoritenstrasse pedestrian area. Favoritenstrasse was remodelled in 2005 and now features benches where you can unwind and lose yourself in the soothing sight of water spurting from fountains.
