Air

Kunming Chang shui International Airport has flights from Hong kong and Southeast Asia cities like Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, as well as plenty of domestic connections within China. China Eastern and Thai airways operates flights from Kolkata to Kunming.

Rail

Kunming is the main rail hub of Yunnan province. It is connected to Beijing, Shanghai, Xian, Shenzhen, Jinan and other cities conveniently by rail.

Bird and Flower Market

This is the biggest and most ancient Bazaar in Kunming, which is home to many cultural relics, well decorated shopping stores, various birds and diversified flowers. The market was originally focused on selling birds and flowers and it is prosperous since opened in 1983.Since it is favoured by many foreign travellers, the market is now focused on flowers, birds, jewelleries, antiques and so on.

Black Dragon Pool

It is 12 km away from Kunming City. Water in the pool is dark green and was said that a black dragon hided in the pool, thus the name was given as “Black Dragon Pool”. It is also famous as Taoist Temple in Ancient Times. This place is a famous tourist attraction.

Daguan Park

The park is known for the grand Daguan Pavillion and the long couplet inside, facing West Hill Park on the other side. It’s a breath taking scenary where trees, flowers and pavilions blend into each other harmoniously. Daguan Park is perched in the west of Kunming City. Neighbouring the captivating Dianchi lake Daguan Park is counted as the most famous pavilion in China.

Golden Temple

Golden Temple is one of the four largest bronze-made temples in China. It is a well-known Taoist temple in Yunnan since Ming dynasty. Since the temple is made of bronze, which glitters like gold under the sun, it is named as “Golden Temple”. The magnificent Golden temple is just a part of Taihe Palace, a Taoist temple in China.

Stone Forest

Situated in Lunan country, Stone Forest is 100 kilometres far from Kunming City. It used to be a boundless sea where plenty of limestone was accumulated. The stone forest area is packed with grotesque stones, which seem to break the earth simultaneously, standing solemnly and magnificently. Some stones are as high as 40 meters, while some are only several meters high. The Stone Forest is well known for its grotesque rocks, breath taking lakes, deep silent cave and cascading waterfalls.

Kunming Horticulture Exposition Garden

This garden is 4 kilometres far from downtown of Kunming City. The site of the exposition garden is a breath taking place. The garden occupies 218 hectares in area, 76.7% of which is covered by vegetation and about 10% by water. It can be said that the exposition garden is just a showcase of the diversified horticultural art of the world.

Dian Lake

Dian Lake, also referred as Kunming Lake, was created due to long time crustal movement, and it is 1886 meters above the sea level. Measuring about 300 square kilometres, it is the largest freshwater lake in Yunnan Province and the sixth largest one in China. Dian Lake is just like a sparking pearl embedded on Kunming.

Parkson Shopping Center

This shopping centre is located in the city center and is eminently convenient. Besides the usual clothing and cosmetics stores, Parkson also has a children's play place and a hair salon. Parkson is also well-known for its extensive food court with wifi, making this a place to consider if you are going for shopping during meal times.

Wangfujing Department Store

Wangfujing Department store has a thoroughly stocked selection of brands including the ever-stylish ZARA and Adidas clothing stores, plus a large supermarket in the basement. Food options include a Charlie Brown Café, Papa John's pizza restaurant, and Korean barbeque.

Golden Eagle Shopping Center

This is Kunming's largest shopping mall. You will find two buildings and seven floors of men's and women's apparel, cosmetics, bags, Starbucks, movie theatre and a full-fledged food court featuring Korean, Japanese, and hot pot options.
