Rail

It is about 3 and a half hours from Dublin and about an hour and a half from Cork. You might be required to transfer trains at Mallow in County Cork. The train station is only a few hundred metres from the centre of town.

Road

Killarney is served by National Primary Route N22, N72 and the N71. It is situated approximately two hours from Shannon Airport, one and a half hours drive from Cork Airport and 4 and half hours drive from Dublin Airport.

Ring of Kerry

The Ring of Kerry is a amazing route passing through some of the most beautiful scenery is southern Ireland. The route is circular and around 110 miles in distance. Along the way there are beautiful views - particularly at Ladies View in Killarney National Park, castles, forts and historic houses. Its spectacular beauty is beyond question and it is a natural centre for outdoor pursuits that include golf, water-sports, cycling, walking, fishing in freshwater etc.

Killarney National Park

South and west of the town of Killarney in Co. Kerry is an expanse of rugged mountainous country. This includes the McGillycuddy's Reeks, the highest mountain range in Ireland which rises to a height of over 1000 metres. At the foot of these mountains nestles the world famous lakes of Killarney. The focal point of the National Park for visitors is Muckross House and Gardens.

Torc Waterfall

It is well worth visiting and like all waterfalls it is best seen after heavy rains. The waterfall is some 70 to 80 feet high and the Owengarriff river which feeds it rises in “The Devil’s Punchbowl” on nearby Mangerton mountain.
