Malaga is a municipality, in the Autonomous Community of Andalusia, Spain. Malaga's history spans about 2,800 years, making it one of the oldest cities in the world. Alcazaba

This fortress palace is one of the city's historical monuments and is much visited because of its history and beauty. The Alcazaba is the best-preserved Moorish fortress palace in Spain. The palace was home to a number of Moorish rulers over the centuries, including the Sultan of Granada and the Nasrid ruler Yusuf I. You can walk along the walls to admire the views of Malaga below and relax in the shady open-air cafe before making the trek back down to the city.

The building sits where a mosque-Moorish quarter once existed. The interior of the cathedral has Renaissance and Baroque influences and the sculptural works of Pedro de Mena are truly appreciable.
