Zermatt at a Glance

Gorner gorge

The Gorner gorge is a place of exceptional natural beauty. The wooden walkways leading between the towering cliffs provide a dramatic insight into the power of nature. It is around 20 walking minutes from the southern end of the village and is easily accessible. A secured path with galleries and wood bridges leads through the gorge. It takes 15 minutes to walk through the wooden walkways.

Sunnegga

The Sunnegga Express was the first Swiss funicular built entirely in tunnel to transport the skiers up to the tracks. After reaching the top, you can enjoy splendid sunshine, romance of the forest, snowy expanses, sparkling pinnacles, gastronomic treats and breath-taking views. Walkers are treated with a clear view of the Matterhorn above the treeline.
