Zermatt at a Glance

Zermatt lies at the foot of the Matterhorn in Switzerland. It is one of the world's most attractive vacation villages. Matterhorn

Matterhorn is the king of mountains and is the most-photographed mountain in the world. It is a paradise for mountaineers and hikers who are attracted for the rugged rock with magical light. The views of the highest mountains of Italy, France and Switzerland are breath-taking from the top.

Gornergrat

The Gornergrat is a rocky ridge of the Pennine Alps, overlooking the Gorner Glacier, south of Zermatt in Switzerland. The diverse Alpine flora and the stone pine forest attract all guests to embark on small and large tours. The mountain panorama and the glorious view of the Matterhorn are unforgettable from here. With its sunny observation platform accessible all year, the Gornergrat, has been one of Switzerlandâs top excursion destinations since 1898.

Rothorn

Rothorn offers majestic views of the highest peaks of the Valais Alps. It's one of the most captivating vantage points in the Zermatt mountainscape. You will enjoy the impressive natural spectacle of sunrise and sunset here, 3,100 metres above sea level.

Gorner gorge

The Gorner gorge is a place of exceptional natural beauty. The wooden walkways leading between the towering cliffs provide a dramatic insight into the power of nature. It is around 20 walking minutes from the southern end of the village and is easily accessible. A secured path with galleries and wood bridges leads through the gorge. It takes 15 minutes to walk through the wooden walkways.

Sunnegga

The Sunnegga Express was the first Swiss funicular built entirely in tunnel to transport the skiers up to the tracks. After reaching the top, you can enjoy splendid sunshine, romance of the forest, snowy expanses, sparkling pinnacles, gastronomic treats and breath-taking views. Walkers are treated with a clear view of the Matterhorn above the treeline.
