The Gallipoli Peninsula is now a national park, with moving memorials to those who died here almost a century ago. There are three main battlefield areas - Cape Helles, Anzac / Lone Pine and Suvla Bay. You can visit the sites of The Nek, Johnstonâs Jolly, ANZAC Cove and Lone Pine and Chunuk Bair. As you travel, hear hard-hitting facts from your guide about the failed Allied land campaign that began in April 1915 with landings of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. The site bears the names of nearly 5,000 soldiers who have no known grave.
