Aerolineas makes the 55 minute flight several times a day during the high season.

Daily trains arrive from Buenos Aires. The train station is about 2km from the boulevard.

Buses are faster than trains, and incredibly clean. It's 5.5 hours from Buenos Aires (Retiro Station) and costs 460-620 pesos.

Manuel Tienda Leon Colectivo service is available at the Buenos Aires Airport for around 600 Pesos one way. The trip is 5 hours through the Argentine Pampas and scenery wise it is very boring - bring a book or a pillow.

Museo del Mar

Featuring a massive (tens of thousands) collection of seashells from all around the world and a tidal pool exhibit. Good for a visit on a rainy afternoon. The small Confitería Gloria Maris, when open, severs coffee, cold drinks and light snacks surrounded by floor-to-ceiling fish tanks.

Founded 100 years ago by Spanish immigrants, this little shop has turned into the largest shopping mall in Mar del Plata. A great place for a rainy day inside, shopping for clothes or watching a film at one of its cinemas

Diagonal Pueyrredon

At the heart of the city you'll find this picturesque street, full of trees and a large shopping mall. (It's popularly known as 'lime tree avenue' due to the special scented tree that surrounds the street.) If you don't feel like browsing the popular brands inside the shopping mall, you can always take a look at the craft stalls inside the square, which feature leather goods, jewelry, and wooden souvenirs

Alongside the beach and close to the famous Torreon viewpoint, one the landmarks of the city, you can find this arts and crafts fair. While you may well find the same goods here that other stores offer, this market stands out for its exquisite view of the sea.
