Genting Highland is well connected with daily flights from India ex Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad via its hub Kuala Lumpur through Malaysian Airlines, Indian Airlines or connecting hubs Singapore, Bangkok etc. The international airport is Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL). Average estimated flying time is 5 hours and 40 minutes. Further to which there is a drive of approximately 2 hours from Kuala Lumpur to Genting highland.
It is a popular tourist attraction in Gohtong Jaya of Genting Highlands. Mushrooms, herbs, flowers and hydroponic vegetables are also grown here along with Strawberries. Visitors can also purchase strawberries by plucking them directly from the trees. Rows and rows of strawberries are grown hydroponically and people can see the different methods to grow them.
This is a popular tourist attraction and religious site located a few kilometres before the peak of Genting Highlands on a sharp, rocky slope. The temple has been designed in traditional Chinese architecture. You can find a giant 15-meter high Buddha statue wedged between the jungle canopies across the hill. Various restaurants are available which serves vegetarian meals.
The farm cultivates and sells mushrooms in shanty warehouses. Visitors can view a turtle pond, fountain and colourful statues depicting mythological creatures from Chinese and Western folklore. Mushrooms are grown in canister-like tubes and stacked horizontally on shelves. Shops sell traditional Chinese snacks, herbs, tea, souvenirs, handicrafts, and farm's fresh produce.
Happy Bee Farm and Insect World welcomes visitors with busy honey-making bee colonies where children and adults can enjoy the natural goodness of honey cultivated in the farm. You can see how the bee farm is operated as colony of bees naturally forages for sweet nectar on their own without any human intervention. The farm offers a lot of bee products such as bee pollen, royal jelly, propolis, comb honey, etc. for the visitors.
It is a veggie farm that spreads across a sloping landscape, with fresh plants, strawberries, mushrooms for sale every day at the market place. Mini Cameron is an agricultural farm and shopping arcade with a restaurant next door which serves a wide range of Western food and local dishes.
A memorial hall has been set up in Genting Highland to commemorate the late, Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong, founder of Genting Highlands. The hill meant so much to him that he spent the last few years of his life here, although he owned many other residential properties. The hall is located right next to his burial ground in a private park which is visited by many people.
It is the main township on the highlands. Gohtong Jaya houses several shops, apartments, housing areas and Genting INTI International College. This place becomes alive on weekends as visitors stop by to eat and shop. Various budget hotels are also available in this area.
Visitors can take a ride from the base station in Gohtong Jaya to main peak of the Genting Highlands in cable car. This is one of the longest and fastest gondola lifts in Southeast Asia. One can enjoy amazing views of lush rainforests and landscapes from this cable car ride. It features Swiss technology with periodic maintenance and support for safety purpose.
A wide range of handcrafted items are sold here. Merchandise that ranges from Asian handicrafts, souvenirs and gifts, the Cultural Village comprises 12 stalls representing different countries and their unique items.
