Dunedin Airport caters primarily to domestic traffic but does receive three to four international flights a week from Sydney and Brisbane in Australia. There are direct flights from Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington with connections to other places in New Zealand.
The Royal Albatross Centre at Taiaroa Head is the only mainland breeding ground of albatross in the world. It is just a 50 minute drive from the Dunedin City Centre.
