Jewel of Kenya - Masai Mara Game Reserve

Maasai Mara National Reserve is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. Its animals include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos. Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration. The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills, and is crossed by the Mara and Talek rivers. The area nearby is dotted with villages (enkangs) of Maasai people. The best wildlife viewing months in Kenya are during the Dry season from late June to October. The wildebeest migration usually reaches the Masai Mara in July and remains until October when they move back to the Serengeti in Tanzania. Wildlife viewing is good year-round, but this can differ for some parks.Masai Mara Game Reserve Distance By Road. If you're planning on driving to Maasai Mara from Nairobi, it should take you about five to six hours to get there. You should expect to cover a distance of 260 Km by road.Game viewing, camping, night game drives, visits to Masai cultural villages, ballooning, bush dinner, lunch and breakfast. As wedding destination in the country, it makes for a spot for a destination wedding photographer to engage different scenes with clients. The Masai Mara has been one of Africa's top wildlife destinations for decades, and private reserves like the OlareMotorogi Conservancy are particularly special: the animals are here; the crowds are not.
